Heavy Beach Thoughts

I’ve always like this image, taken on the beach one early morning when a beach walker was passing by. He seemed to have the problems of the world on his shoulders, dragging his feet through the sand with each stride and head hung down for the weight. Don’t get me wrong, he could have had just one too many beers the night before.

I thought I’d present with a grudge filter, alter the mood of the picture.

St. Marks Rhythm

I wanted to show rhythm in this image but was also torn between the position of the building and the awe of being there. Taken at height the rooftop diagonal line and the constant window openings gives a beat in the mind as you’re forced to follow it.

The mono presentation is only to remove any distracting colours that existed in the composition.
